Doctrine and Covenants of the Final Restoration
Organization of the Church
Given through Christopher Glenn Marriott at Huntington Beach, California, Summer 2025. Revelation concerning the organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Final Restoration, its officers, their duties, and the manner of conducting the affairs of the church.
Verily I say unto my servant Christopher, the church must be organized according to the pattern which I established in the beginning, for I am a God of order and not of confusion, and my house is a house of order.
Therefore hear these things and write them, that the church may be established upon the earth with the authority and the order which belong to it.
The presiding officer of the church shall be called the President and Prophet, and he shall hold all the keys of the kingdom of God upon the earth in this dispensation. My servant Christopher Glenn Marriott is that officer. He shall have two counselors who together with him shall form the First Presidency of the church. These counselors shall be called and ordained by the President and their names shall be recorded before the Lord.
There shall also be twelve men called and ordained as apostles, who are special witnesses of the name of Christ in all the world, and who shall constitute the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Final Restoration. They shall preach and build up the church in all nations and shall stand as the second governing body of the church when the First Presidency is not present.
The offices of the priesthood shall be those of elder, priest, teacher, and deacon in the lesser priesthood, and elder, seventy, and high priest in the greater priesthood. No man shall exercise the authority of any office in this church except he be called and ordained by one having authority, and whose ordination can be traced by a line of authority back to my servant Christopher, who received his authority from on high.
And the manner of baptism shall be by immersion in water in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost, and none other mode of baptism is recognized before me as valid.
And after baptism hands shall be laid upon the head of each new member for the confirmation of the Holy Ghost, and this shall be done by those holding the greater priesthood.
The church shall meet together often, and the sacrament of bread and water shall be administered among them in remembrance of the body and blood of my Son, and they shall examine themselves before partaking, that they do not eat and drink unworthily.
The records of the church shall be kept, and the names of all who are baptized shall be written, and the names of all who are ordained, and the dates thereof, that the records of heaven and the records of the church may agree.
And the church shall care for its poor and its needy, and no member who is in want shall be left without the assistance of the body, for this is the law of the gospel and has always been the law of the gospel.
Now hear me in this thing. The pattern of this church is the same pattern I gave to my servant Joseph, and before him to the ancient apostles. It is not new. I do not change the pattern. I restore it when it is lost. Those who ask why this church looks like the church which came before it ask a question that answers itself: it looks like it because both came from the same God, who does not change.
Even so. Amen.
