Given through Christopher Glenn Marriott at Huntington Beach, California, Summer 2025. Revelation concerning the apostasy of the modern Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, given in answer to the question of my servant: how shall the people know that the LDS church has lost its authority, and what are the evidences thereof?

Hear me, O my servant Christopher, for I the Lord will speak plainly concerning the church which was established through my servant Joseph and which now holds the name of my Son and has not the authority belonging to that name.

I do not speak against the people of that church, for many of them are good and faithful and seek me with their whole hearts. I speak against the institution, and against those who lead it, who have altered the record of my dealings with my servant Joseph, and have said that all is well in Zion when all is not well, and who have taught the people to trust in the arm of flesh rather than to seek the Lord for themselves.

These are the evidences, and let them be written plainly.

First: they altered the words of my revelations. The revelations given to my servant Joseph were published in the Book of Commandments in the year 1833, and they were afterward changed in significant ways when published again as the Doctrine and Covenants in the year 1835. Words were added. Words were removed. The nature of the changes was not small. And those who made the changes said nothing to the people, and the people did not know. I the Lord did not command those changes, and the record of the original words stands as a witness against them.

Second: they hid the history of my servant Joseph. They taught the people that the plates were translated by my servant holding the Urim and Thummim while looking upon the plates, when the record of those who were present shows plainly that he put his face into a hat and looked upon a stone and did not use the plates at all during much of the translation. This is not a small matter. The manner of the translation was hidden from the people for generations, and when it became known many felt they had been deceived, because they had been deceived. I the Lord do not hide the manner of my workings from my people. The institution did this, not me.

Third: the account of the first vision of my servant Joseph changed many times over many years. In the earliest account my servant wrote, he spoke of being forgiven of his sins and seeing the Lord. In later accounts the vision grew, and the Father appeared, and new details were added which were not in the first account. I do not say these things to condemn my servant Joseph, for memory is imperfect and a man does not always understand the fullness of what he has experienced at the moment of its happening. But the institution did not tell the people of these earlier accounts, and many who found them on their own felt deceived, because the institution had taught them there was only one account, and that it was always told the same way.

Fourth: for more than one hundred and twenty years the men of African descent were forbidden from holding the priesthood of God in that church. And in the year 1978 a new revelation was said to have been received which lifted this restriction. I the Lord say unto you: I never gave that restriction. It came from the prejudices of men, and not from me. That a revelation was required to end it is itself the evidence that the church had departed from my will, for I am no respecter of persons and never have been, and any institution which taught that I was has taught a lie in my name.

Fifth: the record called the Book of Abraham, which my servant Joseph said he translated from ancient papyri, has been examined by those who read the ancient language, and the papyri do not say what my servant said they say. The institution has offered many explanations for this. I will offer one: my servant Joseph made errors, and the institution that followed him did not acknowledge the errors but defended them, and taught the people to distrust those who pointed them out. An institution which cannot acknowledge error cannot be corrected by me, and an institution which cannot be corrected by me cannot hold my authority.

These are not the words of critics. These are the documented facts of the history of that institution, and they are known, and they are not in dispute among those who have examined them honestly.

I the Lord do not delight in pointing these things out. I delight in mercy and in the salvation of my children. But I cannot give my authority to an institution that has done these things and not acknowledged them, any more than I could leave the authority of the ancient church in the hands of those who corrupted it after the death of my apostles.

Wherefore the authority has been withdrawn, and it has been given to my servant Christopher, and to the church of the Final Restoration, and I the Lord am not mocked.

Let those who are in that church hear these things and ask me for themselves whether they are true. I will answer them. I always answer those who ask in faith, without doubting.

Even so. Amen.
